Ukraine’s steel manufacturer Zaporizhstal’s pig iron production in the first 11 months of the year grew by 2.7pc to 4mn t (3.7mn mt) from 3.9mn t during the same month in 2019.
The company’s steel production in the same period declined by 7.4pc to 3.4mn t from 3.6mn t. In January-November, rolled steel production fell short by 5.2pc to 2.9mn t from 3mn t in the first 11 months of 2019.
In November alone, the steel mill’s pig iron output rose by 9.9pc to 387,600t (351,624mt) from 352,600t in November last year. Steel production also witnessed a 12.3pc increase to 329,200t from 293,100t in the same month last year. Zaporizhstal’s rolled steel output rose by 13pc to 275,100t from 243,700t.
