Swedish automaker Volvo Cars’ total sales in the US, Europe and China in January-February rose by 29.1pc to 110,383 units from 85,494 units in the same period of 2020. In February alone, the car maker’s sales grew by 27.8pc to 50,795 cars compared to 39,742 units February last year.
The company reported that its car sales in Canada saw a 10.1pc increase in February. In the US, sales were up by 23.7pc in January-February to 17,315 units compared to 13,998 cars in the same months last year. In China sales tripled to 29,243 vehicles compared to 11,220 units in the prior year period. The firm’s European sales rose by 5.5pc in the two-month period to 48,784 cars from 46,252 cars a year ago.
Sales in other countries in the past two months rose by 7.3pc to 15,041 units from 14,024 units on an annual basis.
