Vietnam released its import and export data for iron and steel and ferrous scrap, which showed a total increase of 148,295mt of iron and steel exports to Philippines, the highest importer of iron and steel to Vietnam.
Iron and steel exports to Philippines increased by 538pc to 175,883mt in July from 27,588mt in the prior year period and by 213pc from 56,210mt in June, this year.
July iron and steel exports to China decreased by 67pc to 130,695mt from 401,930mt, last year but increased by 6pc from 122,959mt in June.
Steel and iron exports to Taiwan increased by 169pc to 101,703mt from 37,790mt on a yearly basis and by 35pc from 75,127 from the previous month.

Whereas imports from China increased by 81pc to 362,039mt from 199,808mt in the prior year period but decreased by 30pc from 515,344mt in the previous month.
Vietnam imported 168,267mt of iron and steel from India in July, a decline of 6pc from the prior month and of 63pc from the prior year.
The country also imported 140,486mt of iron and steel from Japan, a decline of 41pc from 237,486mt in the prior year period and a decline of 11pc from the previous month.

Ferrous Scrap Imports
Ferrous scrap imports from Japan were at 191,587mt, a decrease of 23pc from the prior year and a decrease of 25.83pc from June.
Vietnam imported 278,133mt of ferrous scrap from the US in July, an increase of 204pc from 91,523mt last year and an increase of 2pc from 273,923mt last year.
Australia imports for ferrous scrap increased by 100pc to 90,199mt from 12,588mt last year and 6,252mt last month.
