Davis Index – Daily metal prices, scrap prices & global metal market

The daily Davis Index for 304 and 316 solids dropped by a penny to 49¢/lb and 70¢/lb, respectively, delivered processor yard. The US processor buying prices for 304 and 316 turnings remain unchanged at 45¢/lb and 62¢/lb. 

 

The weekly Davis Index for 201 and 301 solids was flat at 30¢/lb and 40¢/lb respectively, unchanged from last week, while the Index for 309 remained unchanged at 75¢/lb. The weekly Index for 310 and 330 went up by a penny to $1.17/lb and 1.89/lb, respectively.

 

The 400 series saw a significant change in price from last week decreasing in the range of $1.17/lb and $1.56/lb, with the weekly Davis Index for 409/410 grade decreasing to $235.1/gt, and 430 down to $309.7/gt. 

 

The three-month LME nickel contract settled at $13,750/mt on Wednesday, down by 4¢/lb from Tuesday while the LME nickel cash contract settled at $13,645/mt, down by almost 5¢/lb.
