Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The US Department of Commerce has determined that producers from Spain sold, or are likely to sell utility-scale wind towers in the US at less than fair value in the period of investigation (POR), July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020.

In a report published in the Federal Register, on Jun 14, Commerce issued a final antidumping duty (AD) of 73pc on all producers and exporters of the merchandise and will collect an assessed cash deposit rate, equal to the AD margin, from all the exporters or producers.

The companies under review include Vestas Eolica, Acciona Windpower, Gamesa Energy Transmission, Haizea Wind Group, Kuzar Systems, and Windar Renovables. Apart from these companies, the department has also levied an all-others margin at the same rate.

Commerce intends to instruct US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to continue suspending liquidation of all entries entered or withdrawn on or after April 2, 2021, under this AD notification.
