The US Department of Commerce has determined its final antidumping duties (AD) for large powered transformers (LPT) imported from South Korea within the period of review (POR) August 1, 2018, and July 31, 2019, in a report published on June 3, 2021.
Commerce stated that it had found that Hyosung Heavy Industries Corporation (Hyosung) made sales of large power transformers at less than normal value during the POR. After investigating exports of large powered transformers, the department implemented a review-specific AD duty of 52.47pc on Hyosung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Electric & Energy Systems, Iljin Electric, and Iljin.
It was also determined by the department that LSIS Co who was included in the preliminary results in December 2020, had no shipments of merchandise during the POR and appropriate instructions will be issued to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) based on the review’s final results.
