Hastelloy C and X prices declined this week by rose for Inconel 600, 601, and 617 on Thursday.
The weekly Davis Index for Hastelloy C decreased by 1.6¢/lb to $4.551/lb delivered processor yard on Thursday and declined for Hastelloy X by 4.9¢/lb to $2.595/lb for single truckloads.
Index for Inconel 600 ticked up to $3.308/lb delivered processor yard from $3.30/lb delivered and Inconel 601 moved up to $2.756/lb delivered from $2.75/lb delivered. Inconel 617 jumped up by 1.8¢/lb to $2.768/lb delivered. The Davis Index for Inconel 625 Vac, however, dropped by 5.5¢/lb to $3.156/lb delivered while Inconel 718 Vac increased by 2.9¢/lb to $3.007/lb delivered processor yard on Thursday.
The official LME nickel cash contract closed Thursday at $12,386/mt, down by $124/mt from Wednesday.
LME nickel prices have been consistently declining this week, which has led to a decrease in superalloy pricing. However, some participants are seeing a slight increase in demand because of which, prices are expected to trend sideways despite the fall in LME nickel prices.
