Anti-dumping and countervailing duties on imports prestressed concrete steel wire strand from Brazil, India, Japan, Korea, Mexico, and Thailand will remain in place, determined the US International Trade Commission (USITC) on Oct 16.

 

The initial AD order published by the US Commerce was in 2004. Duties levied were weighted average margins of up to 118.75pc for Brazil, 102.07pc for India, 13.30pc for Japan, 54.19pc for South Korea, 77.20pc for Mexico, and 12.91pc for Thailand.

 

In March 2020, the Commerce initiated a fifth sunset review on AD determination from Japan, and the third on imports from Brazil, India, Mexico, South Korea, and Thailand. Domestic producers Insteel Wire Products, Strand-Tech Manufacturing, Sumiden Wire Products and Wire Mesh Corp collectively filed for the review.
