Turkey’s motor vehicle registrations in July rose by 12.1pc against the previous month but decreased by 15.8pc against the same year-ago month to 63,218 units, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Around 25 million vehicles were actively registered in Turkey in July. 

 

In July, registered vehicle registrations rose by 52.4pc for trucks and 6pc in pickup trucks, and 23.9pc in automobiles compared to the same month last year. Special purpose vehicle growth year-on-year in July was 83pc, followed by buses 57.9pc, and minibusses 25.9pc. Motorcycle and tractor sales fell by 8.6pc and 6.5, respectively, in July compared to the year-ago 

 

At the end of July, automobiles comprised 54.3pc of the registered vehicles in Turkey, trucks 16.3pc, motorcycles 14.7pc, tractors 8pc, trucks 3.5pc. In the seven-month period January-July, 724,277 vehicles were registered to traffic with 60.6pc of the cars registered to traffic being gasoline-fueled.
