Turkey exported 4.21mn mt of rebar in the first seven months of 2021 compared with 3.12mn mt in the same period last year, according to statistical source SteelData.
Long product shipments from Turkey to Israel increased by 28pc to 582,000mt during the period under review and decreased by 17pc to 510,000mt to Yemen.
Rebar export from Turkey to Singapore reached 536,000mt in January-July against 234,000mt during the same period last year.
Turkey supplied 318,000mt of rebar to Hong Kong in the first seven months, up from 155,000mt in the same year-ago timeframe, according to SteelData.
Long product shipments from Turkey to Peru and Brazil reached 272,000mt and 198,000mt, respectively, while there was almost no supply to those countries during the same period of 2020. Rebar exports to the USA dropped by 49pc to 153,000mt.
Turkey also shipped 116,000mt of long product to Iraq, 108,000mt to Canada, and 107,000mt to Jamaica.
In July 2021, total rebar exports from Turkey amounted to 577,000mt compared to 414,000mt in the same month last year.
Turkey’s long steel consumption increased by 27pc to 15.2mn mt in January-July against the same period last year.
