Hasçelik San, Turkey’s largest producer of bright steel bars, has ordered the latest combined drawing line (CDL) from SMS to expand its capacity and product specifications. The new drawing line will be commissioned by the summer of 2021.
The new line will measure 2.5-6.5 meters in length with a maximum speed of 80mt per minute. It is slated to increase Hasçelik’s productivity by 10-20pc compared to conventional lines operating at the same speeds.
The upgrade will help the company expand its production to include round bars and coil-to-bar for 19-42mm dimensions in multiple designs including square, sections, or hexagons.
Hasçelik produces ground bars of up to 160mm and drawn bars of up to 100mm. Most product sales are in the EU.
