Turkey exported 3.65mn mt of rebar in the first six months of 2021 compared with 2.71mn mt in the same period last year, according to statistical source SteelData.
Long product shipments from Turkey to Israel increased by 37pc to 503,000mt during the period under review and decreased by 19pc to 446,000mt to Yemen.
Rebar export from Turkey to Singapore reached 490,000mt in January-June against 184,000mt during the same period last year.
Turkey exported 270,000mt of rebar to Hong Kong in H1 2021, up from 155,000mt in the same year-ago timeframe, according to SteelData. Peru was the fifth-largest importer of Turkish rebars with shipments totaling 258,000mt in the first six months of the year compared to 19,000mt in H1 2020.
Long product shipments from Turkey to Brazil rose to 170,000mt, while there was almost no supply to this country during the same period of 2020. Rebar exports to the USA dropped by 62pc to 110,500mt over the same timeframe under review.
Turkey also shipped 104,000mt of long product to Iraq, 82,000mt to Canada, and 78,500mt to Jamaica.
In June 2021, total rebar exports from Turkey amounted to 682,000mt compared to 479,000mt in the same month last year.
