The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey went up by TRY82/mt ($10/mt) to TRY2,381/mt ($295/mt) delivered on Monday as most mills raised their purchase prices on Nov 3-4 amid currency fluctuations and higher prices for imported material.
Colakoglu Metalurji, Diler Demir Celik and Mescier announced new purchase prices for DKP grade at TRY2,455/mt delivered, TRY2,380/mt delivered and TRY2,240/mt delivered, respectively, increasing them by TRY75/mt.
Kroman lifted its purchase price for the same material by TRY110/mt to TRY2,300/mt delivered.
Erdemir raised its purchase price for DKP grade by TRY145/mt to TRY2,505/mt delivered, while Isdemir increased them by TRY225/mt to TRY2,345/mt delivered.
Kardemir is now buying this grade at TRY2,540/mt delivered, compared with TRY2,455/mt delivered earlier.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region remained unchanged at $275-280/mt delivered.
