The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey increased by TRY43/mt ($6/mt) to TRY2,936/mt ($416/mt) delivered on Monday amid better demand and higher prices for imported material and steel products.
Diler Demir Celik and Kardemir raised their purchase prices for the DKP grade by TRY100/mt to TRY2,900/mt delivered and TRY3,125/mt delivered, respectively, on Feb 18-19. Erdemir lifted its purchase price for the grade by TRY50/mt to TRY3,025/mt delivered on Feb 16, while Isdemir increased it by TRY150/mt to TRY2,965/mt delivered.
Colakoglu Metalurji and Kroman have kept their prices unchanged since Feb 13 and continue to pay TRY3,025/mt delivered and TRY2,860/mt delivered, respectively, for DKP grade.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region rose by $15/mt to $390/mt delivered over a week amid a bullish market.
