The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey dropped by TRY94/mt ($12/mt) to TRY3,197/mt ($405/mt) delivered on Monday amid weak demand and negative sentiment in the imported scrap market.
Colakoglu Metalurji cut its purchase price for DKP grade by TRY105/mt to TRY3,340/mt delivered over the week, while Diler Demir Celik and Kroman decreased them by TRY90/mt and TRY195/mt to TRY3,110/mt delivered and TRY2,925/mt delivered, respectively. The most recent price revision was done on Mar 19-20.
Erdemir and Isdemir both reduced their purchase price for DKP grade by TRY70/mt to TRY3,385/mt delivered and TRY3,245/mt delivered. Kardemir is now buying DKP grade at TRY3,420/mt delivered compared to TRY3,645/mt delivered a week ago.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region fell by $20/mt to $400/mt delivered over a week in a bearish market.
