The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey declined by TRY63/mt ($8/mt) to TRY3,412/mt ($422/mt) delivered on Monday on lower prices for imported material.
Colakoglu Metalurji and Erdemir announced new purchase prices for DKP grade at TRY3,565/mt delivered and TRY3,615/mt delivered, respectively, on Apr 16-17, cutting them by TRY40/mt. Isdemir decreased its purchase price for the same grade more significantly, by TRY175/mt, to TRY3,460/mt delivered on Apr 17.
Diler Demir Celik reduced its purchase price for DKP scrap by TRY100/mt to TRY3,310/mt delivered, while Kroman dropped it by TRY160/mt to TRY3,230/mt delivered.
Kardemir, which had last changed its DKP scrap purchase price on Apr 3, kept it unchanged at TRY3,730/mt delivered.
Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region were flat at $392/mt delivered for the third successive week.
