Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

The weekly Davis Index for DKP scrap (equivalent to auto bundles) in Turkey fell by TRY250/mt ($35/mt) to TRY2,836/mt ($400/mt) delivered on Monday as prices for imported scrap and rebar declined.

 

Colakoglu Metalurji, Erdemir, and Isdemir cut purchase prices for the DKP grade by TRY225/mt over the week to TRY2,975/mt delivered, TRY3,025/mt delivered and TRY2,815/mt delivered, respectively. All mills revised prices downward several times in the first week on February.

 

Diler Demir Celik and Kardemir decreased their purchase prices for the same grade by TRY300/mt to TRY2,740/mt delivered TRY3,025/mt delivered, respectively, while Kroman reduced it by TRY315/mt to TRY2,760/mt delivered during the week.

 

Purchase prices for shipbreaking scrap in the Izmir region fell by $30/mt to $370/mt delivered following the general downtrend in the market.
