Tianjin Aluminium Plant’s construction in China has been completed with its third section of electrolysis workshop being unveiled on Tuesday.
The plant has an annual capacity to produce 300,000mt of liquid aluminium. It is run by Geely 100 Mining Group in the Guqin (Tianjin) and is located at Economic Cooperation Industrial Park, Banjian Village, Jiuzhou Town.
Around CNY2.83bn have been invested in this unit which covers an area of 800 acres. The construction for this plant began in 2017. In May 2018, the first section was put into production, with an input capacity of 100,000mt. The construction of the second section started in December 2020 and was put into operation in April 2021. Once fully operational, the annual output of liquid aluminium water will reach 300,000mt, which can achieve an annual output value of CNY4.5bn and a profit of CNY250mn.
