American electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, Tesla plans to put production of the Model S and X on hold for 18 days beginning Dec 24.
Media reports noted that the reason for the shutdown was unknown. Tesla had aimed to deliver 500,000 units across its model range in 2020. In the year until Sep 22, the company delivered 318,350 cars. The company was expecting higher production in the last quarter of 2020.
In related news, the Indonesian government recently stated that delegates from Tesla will visit the country in January to discuss the investment in a nickel supply chain and EV battery production.
