India’s major automaker, Tata Motors’ domestic wholesale tally in September rose by 37pc to 44,444 units from the year prior. In Q2 (July-Sept), sales increased by 13pc to 106,888 units from the prior-year period.

Reports suggest that Tata Motors is expanding car production by 18,000 units to meet the expected demand in the Sept-Nov period.
Segment-wise, domestic commercial vehicle sales slipped by 4pc to 23,245 units with muted demand for intermediate, heavy, and medium commercial vehicles.
