Taiwan’s Custom Administration, Ministry of Finance (MOF) collected $10mn in anti-dumping (AD) duties on steel last year. These duties were imposed to ensure a fair trade environment for local industries, the ministry noted in an announcement.

Carbon steel plates, steel products coated with zinc and zinc-alloy, stainless steel 300-series, flat rolled and cold rolled steel and some other non-steel products were among the goods that were levied with these duties, which were imposed along with customs and other duties irrespective of their country of origin.

The MOF announcement added that domestic companies were free to approach the ministry and appeal for an AD investigation if they came across any unfair practices while dealing in these goods.
