Ukraine-based Southern Mining and Processing’s (Southern GOK) iron ore concentrate production in the first quarter of the year (Jan-Mar, 2021) stood at 3.07 mn mt, up by 5pc from the same period in the preceding year, the company said in a statement.
In March 2021, the company’s iron ore concentrate output grew by 5.5pc to 1.1mn mt as compared to the same month in the prior year (March 2020).
This includes 832,000mt of iron ore concentrate produced under the KZ brand and 229,900mt of iron ore concentrate produced by the company under the KZV brand in March.
In 2020, the company’s iron ore concentrate output stood at 12.8mn mt, up by 4.4pc as compared to the preceding year.
The plant’s annual raw ore processing capacity is 29mn mt, while its iron ore concentrate production capacity is 11mn mt per annum.
