China’s Shigang Steel, a Hebei Steel group company, is set to install a new pre-shredder at its northern China plant. The steel mill has ordered a twin shaft pre-shredder that will commence operations by mid-2020.
The pre-shredder manufactured by Danieli will have a productivity of 30tph expandable to over 60tph with a capability to process a wide variety of scrap, including flattened and baled cars. The shredded has a mouth of 2.2m wide and an installed power of 600kW. It has manganese teeth rotors to ensure high and continuous performance. The new pre-shredder will be supplied with a downstream Radial Stacking Conveyor to improve the scrap logistics, enhancing the optimal loading of the existing shredder.
Earlier, another steelmaker in Hebei province, Chengde Jianlong steel plant ordered a five strand 12-m radius bloom caster to expand its finish steel production.
