Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Spanish car manufacturer SEAT’s sales in Spain fell by 3.7pc to 125,500 units solids in the first three months of the year compared to 130,300 units annually, according to media reports. The company attributes the decline in quarterly sales to the slow recovery of Spain’s automobile industry back to pre-pandemic levels.

On the other hand, SEAT’s sales in France, Italy, Austria, and Turkey grew by 43.5pc,  37.8pc, 31.3pc and 45pc respectively, in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period in 2020.

SEAT’s global car registrations in March alone grew by 44.7pc to 52,100 cars compared to the same month last year.
