Russia’s stainless steel imports in the first three months of 2021 dropped by 11.2pc to 84,323mt compared to 94,996mt in the same three-month period last year, according to its Federal customs services.
The country’s stainless steel imports this March saw a 4pc drop to 31,721mt compared to 33,018mt in the same month last year while it increased by 14pc from 27,945mt in February this year.
China was Russia’s biggest exporter at a 15pc increase to 13,991mt in March compared to 12,131mt annually and at a 40pc rise from 9,970mt in February this year.
This was followed by imports from Indonesia at 4,169mt and India at 4,060mt, the Federal customs services stated.
