Russian aluminum producer UC Rusal has appointed Roman Andryushin as deputy chief executive officer (CEO) for sales in Russia, the CIS, and China.

In his new role, Andryushin will overlook sales in the domestic Russian market as well as export sales in China and interact closely with the company’s traders. Rusal also announced that Steve Hodgson will return to his role as director of marketing and sales, replacing Andryushin.

Andryushin has been with Rusal for the past 20 years, having held titles of chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Rusal Marketing. He was the sales director at Rusal from 2014-2018, for the domestic market.

According to Evgenii Nikitin, CEO, Rusal, both Andryushin and Hodgson will have their role to play in the company’s goal to commercialize its Allow platform, which recently achieved the lowest carbon footprint aluminum produced in the world.
