Steel Authority of India-owned Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) produced 13,316mt of hot metal on Oct 15 from its three blast furnaces, setting a new single-day production record, according to media reports. The earlier record production through these blast furnaces stood at 13,115mt on Feb 7, 2019.
Of the total, BF No.1 produced 2,797mt, BF No.4 produced 2,463mt and the rest 8,056mt was produced by BF No.5.
The achievement came as a result of the joint efforts by all associated departments.
