Japan’s semiconductor chips manufacturer Renesas’ N3 plant at its Naka factory is now equipped with new machinery that will be operational by mid-June 2021.
The last set of CMP machinery was delivered to the plant on May 27, the company noted in its update on Wednesday.
The N3 plant had resumed part operations in late April and as of May this year it was running at 88pc capacity. The plant is on track to be fully operational by July after a fire in March this year destroyed 23 machines and stopped production completely.
