Peruvian Metal’s Águila Norte processing plant in Peru reported 18,510mn mt throughput, up by 380pc from 2018. The company produced 4,496mn mt of mineralized material in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2019 for third parties. The Aguila Norte plant’s annual average utilization was more than 60pc of its 36,000mt production capacity in the last three quarters.
Peruvian Metal recovered 4,091mt of zinc concentrates averaging 52.4pc of zinc and 1,364mt mt of lead-silver concentrates averaging 52.9pc lead and 125 ounces silver per metric tonnes. The company also produced 46mt of copper concentrates by processing one small batch of copper mineral. The company’s reported concentrate ratios averaging at 3.31:1.
The Aguila Norte plant has an approved permit to expand its daily operations to produce 100mt, accordingly the company plans to expand its facility in the third quarter.
