Norway’s unwrought aluminium exports in February declined by 52.47pc to 105,403mt from Feb 2019, according to Davis Index analysis.
Aluminium exports from Norway, one of the largest exporters in the world fell for a third successive year in 2019. The exports of unwrought aluminium in 2019 were at 3,047,668mt, down marginally from 3,049,107mt in 2018.
A majority of the country’s seaborne trades in 2018 were with other European countries. In 2019, however, Norway’s unwrought aluminium exports to Asian countries rose from nil in 2018. In Asia, Norway exported the largest volume to South Korea with exports of 238,509mt. This was followed by exports of 235,945mt to Vietnam, 113,226mt to China, 106,889 to Thailand and 92,919 to India.
