Norway’s ferrous scrap exports rose 5.67pc in H1 2021 to 294,371mt when compared to 278,570mt of the same period last year according to the country’s Customs data. 

 

The country’s exports jumped 41pc in June to 61,303mt from 43,509mt in the same month last year and increased by 57pc from 38,961mt in May, according to the country’s Customs data.

 

The Netherlands was the largest importer of ferrous scrap from the country, with a 3912pc surge to 17,099mt in June from 426mt in June 2020. The second-largest importer of ferrous scrap from Norway was Germany, despite a 37pc decline to 15,9588mt from 25,150mt within the same period. Spain joined the list of importers in June, recording an import volume of 2,422mt.
