Nevada Copper has completed C5 testing of its processing plant as part of its underground mine development program at Pumpkin Hollow.
In an update on the status of the ramp-up, Nevada Copper explained that it has installed the underground and surface fans. Also, the company is moving forward with the construction of the dike crossing. The works seek to optimize the processing rate, to exceed the 5,000mt/day that were originally contemplated, and even reach 6,500mt/day, to match the mine’s extraction rate.
The company aims to recover from a lower-than-expected performance in Q1 2021 when it had to halt activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
