Manasa Prasad Mishra takes charges as the Director of Projects & Technical at India’s National Aluminium Company (Nalco). Earlier, Mishra was Executive Director of Smelter and Power Complex, Angul.
Mishra has completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (formerly known as University College of Engineering, Burla). He started his career in Nalco as Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1984.
In Q1 (April-June), Nalco reported an 82.9pc drop in its consolidated profit at Rs166.9mn ($2.24mn). The company’s consolidated profit in Q1 FY2020 was Rs978.7mn. The company had reported that its business and economic activities were impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
