Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Japanese base metals producer, Mitsubishi Materials has decreased its copper and lead production guidance for H2 2020, ending March 31, 2021. 

 

The company’s revised guidance estimates a 9pc decrease in refined copper production to 26,681mt from 29,133mt in H2 2019, and a 19.6pc decline in refined lead output to 2,005mt from 2,398mt during the same period. 

 

Mitsubishi is predicting that copper output from its Naoshima smelter and refinery will decrease by 14pc in the six-month period, offset by a 2pc increase in production at its Onahama facility.
