Marimaca Copper (formerly Coro Mining) appointed ex-Emmerson chief executive officer (CEO), Hayden Locke as president.
According to the company’s release dated July 20, Locke will work alongside the company’s CEO, Luis Tondo and chairman, Michael Haworth.
Prior to joining Marimaca Locke led Emmerson, a potash mining company with operations in Morocco, as CEO. He will continue his role as a director on Emmerson’s board. Previously he was also the corporate head of Papillion Resources, which focuses on gold mining.
Locke said he was delighted to join Marimaca in light of the company’s significant discovery of copper mineral deposits in Antofagasta, Chile.
