Libya Iron and Steel company (LISCO) restarted production after a two-month break on Aug 31.

The company had decided to shut down production on June 29 after a direction from Prime Minister, Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba to reduce power cuts during extreme high temperatures in summer.

The measure was taken to reduce 150mw of electricity.

All the factories are expected to resume operations by this week, the steelmaker said.
