John C. Plant, currently the chief executive officer (CEO) of Arconic Inc. will take over as the co-CEO and executive chairman of the company’s new entity starting April 1.
Plant will serve in this position, through March 2023, according to an announcement by Arconic Inc.
The company, which recently spinned off its two businesses—engineered products and forgings and global rolled products—into two separate entities, Howmet Aerospace and Arconic Corp, also appointed Tolga Oal as the other co-CEO of Howmet.
Oal currently serves as the president of Arconic Engineered Structure. Arconic had earlier announced that Timothy D. Myers is assigned to serve as the CEO of Arconic Corporation.
Arconic Inc’s. Board of Directors agreed on the separation of Arconic and Howmet Aerospace as two different publicly traded companies earlier this month. Howmet will handle the engineered products and forgings business while the global rolled product business will be handled by Arconic Corporation starting April 1, 2020.
