Kolkata-based SAI group plans to invest Rs1000cr in the span of 3-5 years in West Bengal for expansion of its steel manufacturing capacity.
The group’s parent company Super Smelter owns 150acres of land Jamuria, West Burdwan in West Bengal. The company plans to expand annual TMT bars manufacturing capacity to 1.2mn mt from the present 240,000mt.
SAI group has also bid to acquire four iron-ore mine blocks in Odisha.
