Polish miner KGHM’s copper production increased by 5.3pc to 119,700mt in January-February 2021, compared with 113,700mt in the same period last year. Sales during this period also increased by 1.2pc to 109,100mt from 107,700mt a year ago.
In February, the company mined 58,000mt of copper, up by 5pc from 55,300mt in the same month last year. Sales also increased by 3.2pc to 62,900mt from 60,900mt during the same period.
At its international mines, higher production at its Robinson and Carlota mines offset lower output at the Franke and Sudbury mines, where ore grades declined.
