Indian steel manufacturer Jindal Steel & Power Limited’s (JSPL) steel production in February 2021 stood at 653,000mt, up by 18pc from 554,400mt produced Feb 2020 driven by demand, the company said in a statement.
In February, the company’s sales grew by 14pc to 545,500mt as compared to 480,300mt sold in the same month in the preceding year. The company’s shipments fell by 6pc from January on a per-day basis, while on the cumulative monthly basis, shipments rose by 4pc.
Exports contributed 26pc to the total sales in February.
The company said that it is on the path of continuous growth every month and will enhance production further without any new CAPEX in the current financial year.
In January, the company’s steel output stood at 690,000mt, up by 80pc from the year before.
