Jingye has acquired Guangdong Taidu Iron and Steel to diversify in South China, stated Chinese media reports. Earlier, the company had acquired Wugang, British Steel and Yunnan Yongchang Iron and Steel. With this move the company has laid foundation for the ‘Jingye Blue’ rebar to enter the eastern Guangdong area and the Greater Bay Area.
Guangdong Taidu Iron and Steel has 18-stand continuous steel rolling production lines for sintering, blast furnace, coverter, continuous caster and supporting facilities such as power generation and oxygen production. It has two 5,000mt professional steel freight terminals with an annual production capacity of over 2mn mt.
