Global crude steel production dropped by 1pc or 0.8mn mt to 147.8mn mt in November from 148.6mn mt a year ago. The drop in production was significantly higher in Europe, Japan and Brazil.

 

China’s crude steel production spiked up by 4pc to 80.3mn mt in November from the prior year. South Korea’s steel production dipped by 0.5pc to 5.9 Mt from the 2018. 

 

Italy’s crude steel output dropped by 9.8pc to 2.0 mn mt in November from 2.2mn mt prior year in Europe. France’s production of crude steel reduced by 18.2pc to 1.1mn mt from 1.4mn mt in November 2018. Spain produced 1.1 mn mt of crude steel, down by 10.9pc from the prior year.

 

The US production of crude steel fell by 2.2pc to 7.2mn mt in November from 7.4mn mt a year ago. 

 

Brazil’s production dropped by 10.5pc to 2.6mn mt from 2.8mn mt prior year, in South America.

 

Turkey’s crude steel production was down by 8.1pc to 2.9mn mt in November from 3.1mn mt a year ago.
