Iran’s iron ore concentrate production increased by 6pc in the first four months of FY2022 (March 21 to July 22, 2021) while output declined by 19pc from June to July, noted the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
The country produced 17.04mn mt of the material in the first four months of the Iranian calendar and 3.35mn mt in the fourth month (June 22-July 22).
Golgohar Mining produced 5.8mn mt of the total four months’ iron ore concentrate, leaving it with the largest share of the total output. Chadormalu and Middle East Mines were in second and third place with 4.12mn mt and 2.08mn mt.
Iran’s granulated iron ore output decreased by 6pc to 378,198mt from March to July but climbed by 24pc to settle at 147,310mt in the fourth month of the Iranian year.
