Iran’s iron ore concentrate exports in H1 (March 20-Sept 21, 2020) of the Iranian calendar declined by 12pc to 8.8mn mt from 10mn mt in the prior-year period, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining and Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Immidro).
In the sixth month (Aug 22-Sept 21, 2020), iron ore concentrate exports stood at 1.5mn, down by 5pc from the same month in the year prior.
Major Iranian companies produced 24.6mn mt of iron ore concentrate in H1. Of which, Gol Gohar produced 8.1mn mt, Chadormelo produced 5.5mn mt, and Middle East Mines and Mining Industries Development’s output stood at 3.3mn mt of iron ore concentrate.
Gohar Land’s iron ore concentrate output in H1 stood at 2.2mn mt, while Iran Central Iron Ore Company produced 2.6mn mt in the same period.
Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company and Opal Parsian Sangan’s output stood at 1mn mt, while Sabanvar and Jalalabad produced 710,921mt and 213,670mt of iron ore concentrate in H1, respectively.
Iran’s granulated iron ore output in H1 dropped by 49pc to 640,928mt from the prior-year period.
