Iranian automotive output rose by about 20pc in the four months ended July 21, 2020, of the country’s calendar year that began on March 21, 2020.
Iran’s automotive production increased by 52pc in July compared with the same month last year. According to media reports, Soheil Memarbashi, the director-general of Iran’s transportation department, announced a 20.3pc spike in vehicle manufacturing in the four months, ended on July 21, at 323,633 units from 268,966 vehicles in the prior-year period.
Production included 296,328 passenger cars, which rose by 19.4pc from 248,184 cars in the same period last year.
In the month of July, Iran produced 106,018 vehicles, surging by 52.8pc from 69,402 units in the same month last year.
