Iran’s aluminum ingot production increased by 71pc to 211,779mt in H1 (Mar 20-Sep 21, 2020) of the Iranian calendar from 123,576mt in the prior-year period, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation (Imidro).
Of the total output volume, Iranian Aluminium Company (IRALCO) produced 95,723mt of ingots, while Hormozal’s ingots output stood at 45,444mt in the six months.
Almahdi Aluminum Company contributed 33,988mt of ingots, and South Aluminum Corporation (SALCO) contributed 25,397mt of ingots in the Mar-Sep period.
Iran Alumina Company’s ingot production during the period stood at 11,227mt, while its alumina powder output rose by 4pc to 121,691mt from 116,883mt in the prior-year period.
In the sixth month (Aug 22-Sep 21, 2020) of the Iranian calendar, Iran’s aluminum ingot production grew significantly by 84pc to 36,866mt as compared to 19,983mt in the same month year prior.
