The Iranian aluminum industry produced 175,281mt of ingots in the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22) according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization. The output increased by 26.3pc from 138,781mt in the prior year period. The top producer Iran Aluminium Company (IRALCO) produced 61,314mt.
Aluminum ingot production rose by 33pc during March 21-May 21 to 86,216mt, from 64,689mt. In the past financial year, total production was at 446,800mt over 278,318mt in the prior year.
By 2026, Iran plans to produce around 1.5mn mt of aluminum ingots. South Aluminium Company recently inaugurated smelter having 300,000mt annual capacity in Fars.
