Iranian steel producer Mobarakeh Steel’s (MSC) crude steel production in the first eleven months (Mar 20, 2020-Feb 18, 2021) of the Iranian calendar stood at 6.34mn mt, achieving a record crude steel output in the history of the company, as per local media reports citing a statement by the company.
The company said that it recorded a high output despite the sanctions imposed by the United States and the crisis due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Comprehensive CEO’s support, timely and effective management of all types of metallic charging furnaces, minimizing the downtime due to shortage of raw materials, and reduction in the repair time were the contributing factors for the increased production of crude steel, the company added.
The company added that it is expecting a growth in steel production by over 500,000mt than its initial planned target.
