Iran-based steel manufacturer Hormozgan Steel Company’s (HOSCO) steel slab production in the Iranian year 1399, or the last 12 months (Mar 21, 2020-Mar 20, 2021) stood at 1.52mn mt, up by 4pc as compared to the preceding year, according to local media reports.
The company said that it exceeded its annual slab production capacity of 1.5mn mt during the year.
The company said that it produces the highest quality of slabs in Iran with 98.7pc of high-grade material.
It informed that it aims to produce increase its annual production in the current Iranian year 1400 (Mar 2021-Mar 2022) by 9pc to 1.65mn mt.
In the last 12 months, the company’s Sponge iron production rose by 8pc to 1.65mn mt from the previous year.
The company aims to produce 1.72mn mt of Sponge iron by the end of the current year (March 2022).
