Bulgaria-based real estate company Interlink Group will begin the construction of its production facility to manufacture aluminum profiles in the Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ) in Bulgaria on March 31, according to local media reports citing a statement by the TEZ on Tuesday.

A total amount of BGN39.7mn ($23.8mn) has been invested in building the plant. The production facility is expected to become operational in the third quarter of the next year (Q3 2022) with an annual aluminum profile capacity of 10,000mt per annum.

The plant will run on a fully automatic production process.

Local company Sienit Construction Group will build the plant on a total area of 194,000sqm.

Interlink’s subsidiary Bulgarian manufacturer Profilink Ltd will commence production of aluminum profiles at the plant after its completion. Interlink holds 97pc interest in the capital of Profilink’s parent company Plovdiv-based Technolink Invest.

The company is expected to expand the project further in the future with three more production and storage halls in the next five to ten years.
